Dear Tusnim,

Grace is always there. But one should be a fit vessel. If you are a table spoon, you will get only table spoon full of grace.
If you take a big vessel, you will get a vessel-ful of Grace.

Dear Hari,

Grace comes from the tree of your bhakti and faith as a fruit.

Grace is the Self.
its always there!
So when one asks what caused this , one does not give a common cause ... the samanya karanam is not provided as the reason for it.

For example if someone asks "how could you secure good marks in your exams?" We do not say "because of light". Light is always there and without it one cannot study... definitely. And light alone facilitates study. But when someone asks how could you get good marks, we have to give specific reasons. And that specific reason is not grace but Self inquiry. this is my view. Ofcourse without grace inquiry also wont work. But Grace is always there in all cases. Bhagavan cannot show partiality!

Subramanian ji,
:) The vessel you carry is the Self inquiry/Surrender.
So Self inquiry is the main cause.
Grace is always there.

For example, whats the cause for Murugnar's liberation ? Bhakti. Grace is there in our case also... but Bhakti is absent.
So Samanya karanam , the common cause is Grace always! And we all have Grace in abundance. But we do not use the Grace. As even every student has Light of Sun, but one student studies in its light and another person watches a movie!
thats how.

Then where did Lord Buddha's Grace come from? Or He was not liberated by Grace?

Dear Sri Tushnim.Asanam,

I agree with You. And it is even other way around too. Efforts are there because of Grace.

My point is - should I pray for It, should I serve to someone - God, Guru and so on. Or the Grace is within my and I must 'purify' myself for It to act?

Grace is there, but when you pray its like directing it for your liberation. prayer is important.
Like a ship ... there is air flow, but one has to guide it so that it propels the ship in your intended direction.

Dear Tusnim,

Yes. I agree with Jewell. Even the efforts to do Self Inquiry comes out of His Grace. Many persons visited
Sri Ramanasramam. Some came as a picnic. Some stayed for sometime. Some others stayed for years
and did Self Inquiry. The difference is only due to Grace.

Or alternatively, air is everywhere for breathing. But if your nose is stuffy, you cannot breathe, though Air is there.

Dear Hari,

Yes,the Grace is there, and we need to purify our minds to let its flow freely. Our devotion, faith, praying, reading about the Truth is what make us pure. Any tipe of effort. And it is very unique in every individual case. We should do that what we are down to,anything,it doasnt metter what exactly. All counts,i believe. What is most natural to You,which is almost an effortless effort, how to say,is best for You.

that grace for self inquiry comes from some other earlier efforts.
Grace is uniform.
one who uses it gets it for his own benefit!

god is not partial.

God has given his grace for all.
our efforts define what we get.
our cups.

so we cannot call grace as cause for liberation, coz its always there.
efforts are the specific causes.

Dear Tusnim,

If Grace is not there how can a person like Rajapalayam Ramani Amma or Wolter A. Keirs should come specifically to
Sri Bhagavan?

Sri Bhagavan has said: Many people come here.

                                      But only some are called

                                      Still fewer are chosen.

Annamalai Swami came to Sri Bhagavan only be merely seeing His photograph. He did not do any Sadhana before hand
though he was spiritually oriented. Today is Annamalai Swami's  Liberation Day.
